In some respects the Tusks is not bad at all, but unfortunately it has a few overriding negatives that resulted in a very forgettable, even unpleasant, stay for us. Positives: A bit of a "bush lodge" feel, fairly clean & tidy and although basic it has most conveniences required for a short stay. Negatives: You cannot come near the rooms during the day as the sun turns them into little ovens! No privacy if you are not in one of the rooms at either end of the passage - passage right on your large, glass front door. Very cramped with only a very small bath and no shower. Definitely not well suited for self catering. So, would recommend as a value-for-money, short, single or double stay, but definitely not for longer and family stays.
