“Good Find In Grahamstown”
Reviewed 17 March 2014

We were pleased to discover an obviously popular venue 'Haricot's in Grahamstown. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner, it also has a deli with great cakes and coffee to go. A good buzz with good food and an obviously talented owner who saw a need for this option in the University City of Grahamstown.

“Best of Grahamstown”
Reviewed 11 March 2014 via mobile

Food is always yummy. Menu changes constantly which keeps things interesting. Fresh produce, cooked well makes for success on a plate
Cute fairy lights and outdoor heaters create a lovely atmosphere on those cold, Winter days.

“Best In Town”
Reviewed 8 March 2014 via mobile

We visited on an exceptionally busy night and expected to have a long wait. We didn't so well done Haricots. The wait was made easier by the the waiter who could not have been more attentive without being in our faces. The ambience was pleasant and car parking easy. At first sight the menu may seem to brief but it actually has a good enough range. The soup starter chosen however was far to salty. The main courses were well cooked and presented, with fresh vegetables on both. A nice touch were the cloth serviettes in place of the all to popular paper tissue type. No evidence of Wi-Fi thankfully. There is a small terrace to the front for warm evenings. Booking is suggested durimg weekends and when thete is a major event being held in the town.

“Eclectic menu”
Reviewed 8 January 2014

Despite the French name, Haricots has a small but eclectic and seasonally-varied menu, with the occasional Italian or curry item. Most food is prepared fresh and they have an on-site bakery, which produces excellent bread and cakes (except the bagels, which appear to me to have missed the crucial step of boiling before baking). Many options are on the lighter side, meaning you may have room for dessert if hungry. Vegetarian options generally feature. Service is usually friendly and quick. Pricing is a little higher than average but still inexpensive by international standards.
