It has been five years since we visited this restaurant. We always felt that it was overpriced for food that was too inconsistent in quality. We were pleasantly surprised after enjoying a Sunday lunch on the deck. The setting is perfect on a sunny day. The 3 course set lunch (you could choose from about 4 items for each course) cost R150. Most of us chose chicken samoosas and these were served with sweet chilli sauce (from a bottle) and a delicious reduced balsamic vinegar. Mains consumed included pork belly, roast lamb and boulabaisse. The pork belly was good but we weren't too happy with the thick piece of fat on top which had not been rendered down enough. The portion was also very stingy and way out of proportion to the mound of mash. The roast lamb was not served pink. Unfortunately it seems that the restaurant no longer serves bread with their meals. All in all we still enjoyed the lunch.
