Description: Nguni Restaurant Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!

“Superb venue”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

This was our third visit over a period of 4 years and each one has been outstanding. Not a typical tourist location but well worth searching for. Springbok probably the best we have eaten in many years of SA restaurants.

“Delicious Meal”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We ate at the Nguni and had a wonderful meal. My husband had Ostrich steak and I had Hake which was the catch of the day, both meals were delicious. We can certainly recommend this restaurant, if you are in Plettenberg Bay.

“Great meal with a little hickup”
Reviewed 24 November 2013

We had an absolutely wonderful meal here. The waiter will tell you how the chef likes to cook the dish. If he does, just say yes. This little tasteful place was one of our highlights. The only small downside was that one dish came out of the kitchen over salted. However, the owner handled the feedback with professionalism, care and understanding and took it off the bill. This place is not to miss in Plett. However, you will probably need to book well in advance in high season so don't leave it to chance.

“Great place”
Reviewed 17 November 2013 via mobile

Lovely place and great waiting...The interior of the restaurant is cosy. For starters we had spring rolls and a meat platter. The main course existed of steak and lamb chops accompanied with a salade. Great.... Cheers to Robert! We'd definately recommend this restaurant!
