This is a wonderful comfortable hotel right on the beach. Unfortunately we arrived near dusk one evening and had to be out early the next morning. We did manage a 15 minute walk on the beach at sunset and saw whales!!

The hotel is in a perfect location, and the top floor sits high for ideal whale watching from reception. It's very open, airy, clean, comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in Cottage Pie, a separate area behind the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable, with a great bed and HUGE shower and bathroom.

Because we were scheduled for a cheetah walk at Tenikwa, we needed to leave Robberg by 6:45, considerably earlier than breakfast starts (8:00 a.m.). We simply told Robberg that we would be skipping breakfast due to our early schedule. They wouldn't have it!! They got up early and prepared a LOVELY breakfast for us. We were surprised and overjoyed.

Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality and care. I wish so much we could have stayed longer.

Highly recommended.

Situated right on Plettenberg Bay, we were upgraded to a room with fantastic panoramic views across the bay – on the first morning we awoke to a marvellous display by several whales just outside our windows.
Breakfasts were delicious and the staff were friendly and the manager helpful in advising us of places to go to see and eat.

This must be one of the top places I have been. It's a lovely guest house that affords great views of the beach and a sunrise you won't forget easily. The room in the basement that I was given was immaculate with a great bathroom. It is very reasonably priced and I only wish I could have stayed an extra night or two. I cannot recommend it enough.

What a gorgeous location! This Guest Lodge is utterly gorgeous, spacious and nothing is too much for the staff. We were welcomed by Beth and given a tour of the property and our room, which was immaculate, huge and with perfect touches. We were offered if we wanted them to make a booking for dinner, which is always a fantastic touch and given ideas of what to do whilst there. I was so impressed with the friendliness of the all the staff, the gorgeous rooms and amazing views and location. Highly recommended to anyone staying in Plett, whether just for a night or longer.

The Robberg is a very small hotel, perhaps closer to a guest house, but guestrooms are huge. Just the bathroom we had was smaller than that of the entire room in some Tokyo hotels. We were individually welcomed by the manager, who gave us a tour of the property. She also was very helpful in providing hints on what to do. The hotel is separated from the beach only by a quiet residential street. Its overall style is very modern but nonetheless comfortable. There also is a common roof terrance from which you can watch the ocean or the sunrise. The only down-side is that the next restaurant requires a drive as there is nothing in walking distance. We only spent one night but wished that we could have stayed longer. However, even if you can spend only one night, it is a great place to stop while travelling along the Garden Route.
