The house has its own charme. They collect alot and therefore each room has its own character. We took the room upstairs. The view was great..the room as well. The breakfast was yummy and we could sit outside and enjoy the beautiful view over the ocean. The owner provided us with information and took really good care. Go there !!

This hotel lives up to it's name, and offers a fantastic ocean view from upstairs rooms. This is an unusual but quirky hotel, that is full of character.

We were met by Inge the manager, who made us very welcome, and showed us our very large room, which had a "Marilyn Munroe" theme. The en-suite room was spotless, and we had our own balcony to take in the view, including the hotel's own very clean swimming pool.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of food available, all served with a smile by Inge.
The hotel is ideally situated as a base for exploring the Plettenberg Bay area, and Inge is a mine of information about local attractions.

Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Request an upstairs room to benefit from the views.

This was a charming and peaceful little b&b. Each room is uniquely decorated and with such character! There was a beautiful bath, great shower, clean, and homey. Our room on the top floor with view of the bay was just stunning. Slept like a queen here.

We arrived at this B and B after a long and tiring drive at about 17h00 only to find that despite having reserved accommodation over two weeks previously and paid a deposit, they did not have the accommodation I had reserved. We were left standing in the parking area while they ascertained this for about half and hour. From what I was able to see of the place, we had a lucky escape!

It was a booking made by a deposit which we did not pick up and we did not confirm the booking because of that. we are really sorry about this mistake .this tape of booking mistake does happen and it is any B&B worse night-mare. All we can do is to appolgies again for our mistake.

We stayed over in Australia, NZ, 14 Countries in Europe, London, USA 32 states, Israel, etc,,,,,,we found Whale of a view in Plett, WORLD STANDARD.. Very much like places in Europe, not completely sound proof, but all else was perfect. Inge, the hostess, is very professional and makes you feel right at home. The breakfast is very good, even if you can't make the correct hour, you can still have a cerial or help yourself to tea or coffee. Lovely clean linen, sparkling pool. Friendly dogs, and the garden man cleans the dog-pooh off the lawn daily. We surely recommend Whale of a view, and will go back if we need to stay in the area.

Room Tip: We used the budget room, a bit small, but still comfortable.

So the summer holidays are a time to unwind & recharge the batteries. My wife & I discovered that a place of peace & tranquility is a pre-requisite to achieve this. We checked in for 7 nights and this became our base, our home from home as we explored the Plettenberg Bay Area. Our 50's/60's-style ground floor room with direct pool access was the perfect place to enjoy a late afternoon drink and a quick dip in the pool. Inga, the hostess was invisible and yet ever present taking care of our every need. Breakfast was promptly served every morning on the upstairs balcony with a distant view of the shoreline. We really enjoyed our stay and have returned home ready for the challenges of 2014.

What a lovely place this is situated minutes walk from N2, the famous Plettenberg bay, a huge shopping centre where you can do your food shopping and the town centre. Inge, the daughter, did look after us very well giving us lots of information and organising our trips for us. We were left to do our own thing so you don't feel as if the owners are watching your every step kind of thing which made us feel at home. They get on with their lives downstairs letting you do your own thing upstairs chilling out, cooking, etc. Frankly it just felt like as if we'd rented the whole house to ourselves. The room we had was huge with a nice shower and a bath tub. There was even a small fridge and a microwave. We also enjoyed their generous breakfast very much sitting on the balcony looking at the beach and the sea. Although it would have been better if they served homemade jam and local honey rather than mass produced ones but we can't have everything can we? We would highly recommend this place and like to assure you that you won't be disappointed! Oh, there was a decanter of sweet red wine waiting for us in the room on our arrival and they topped it up everyday. It tasted similar to sherry only a lot nicer. It was one of the nicest drinks I have ever drunk what a nice gesture. Shame we can't stay here any longer.
