The food at the deck restaurant was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly and went out their to keep us updated of our order. Lovely place to unwind. The pool areas is amazing indeed. The lunch experience was worth driving from Knysna.

As you arrive at beacon island you feel you have arrived in paradise. You get the amazing setting and then the super friendly staff. The biggest decision is then what to do and the biggest problem is that there is never enough time. Lie by the pool or private beach drinking cocktails, swim in the indoor or outdoor pool or sea, scuba dive, snorkel, tour, eat, whatever you desire it's certainly available here

Room Tip: Sea or pool facing is best. Don't bother with laggoon or robberg facing. Treat yourself to a lux suite it's amazing

Stayed at Beacon Isle hotel for a week in September. From the start at checking in and having no problem even though we were early to the entire week, Best service and an excellent and well run Hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and all staff seemed happy to make the experience something special. Breakfasts really reasonable and well presented. Decent selection of dinner option inside the hotel and so many outside! Excellent facilities and rooms were immaculate and a pleasure to stay in, Will definitely stay here again and feel well rested and relaxed :))

I stayed at the BI for a week in September with my boyfriend. The hotel is in the most beautiful location - and is very near to many fun activitiea such as keurbooms river, birds of eden, plettenberg game reserve, elephant park etc. There is also many good restaurants nearby. If you dont feel like going out the restaurants at the hotel is nice but not fantastic. We stayed in room 111, it was an okay room - very nice size and nice view but I would avoid it if possible as the neighbouring room can see into your room if they venture out onto the platform (dont think they are supposed to but some people do). Room 611 has an amazing view but it is smaller, and room 112 is very spacious and a nice room. The bathrooms have a proper shower AND a proper bath. Not the shower over the bath story that many hotels do. Very lovely showers. The beds are super comfy but the king bed is 2 3/4 beds pushed together (quite normal for many hotels). Just ask them to remake the bed as a king so that you have king sized bedding and not two single sets. The hotel makes a huge effort to keep the visitors entertained. There were games evenings and entertainment every night. We won game drive - so lovely prizes to be won! We werent there in the busy season so there wernt many kids there. Mostly older people, not very many young adults. I would reccommend this for young couples looking for a party - this is a relaxing and comfortable place. I would definitely go back anytime!

My husband and I spent a week at this resort and it was pure heaven. Being out of season there were no children running around which for me is an added bonus. The staff are really accommodating, our room faced the sea so the view was spectacular. The grounds are well kept and the restaurants in the hotel very reasonably priced. We will be back next year.
