We stayed at Kurland with our two boys (aged 4 years and 1 year old) over the Easter break. It was such a relaxing holiday. Lorna looked after our boys for us during the day and they played in the sandpit, rode on Noodle the pony, wizzed around the tennis court on their plastic ride-on motorbikes and she even took them up to watch a bit of a polo game. They had such a fantastic time. We were able to sit infront of the log fire during the day and read a book! Such a treat.
All of the staff were exceptional. From Leon the chef who made Bobotie especially for us, to Richard who was an outstanding waiter.
For afternoon tea, freshly baked goods are put into a display cabinet and you can help yourself to whatever catches your fancy and sit having a cup of tea in front of the fire.
I must mention, Katarinas, restaurant. Do yourself a favour and try their Sunday lunch buffet. It is out of this world. Slow roasted lamb was on the buffet when we were there and it was cooked to perfection.
I cannot recommend a visit to Kurland highly enough. Just go there - you will not be disappointed!More
