We stayed for 2 nights at the start of our holiday. I kind of wished we stayed longer in Plett than moving onto Knysna but that's another story.
The place has lovely views of the Ocean and great swimming pool area. I loved the little touched in the room, like a little survival kit including plasters, headache tablets etc. Really sweet touch. Breakfast was also wonderful with great service. I would definitely return when in Plett :)

We stayed at Swallows Nest for one night in a double room with sea view (room no 2) and had a wonderful stay.

The room is well laid out with good facilities and there is obviously a lot of thought that has gone into little extras around the room - an umbrella, beach/pool towels, sewing kit, bottles of water in the fridge, glasses of sherry on arrival and many other nice little touches.

The pool area looked nice even if we didn't use it on account of bad weather when we stayed. The beds are very comfortable and the ceiling fan is very quiet which is great on warm evenings.

Finally - the breakfast was excellent! Made to order and very well cooked and thoroughly enjoyable.

We were also given a very nice restaurant recommendation on check in.

This is a really nice and excellently run B&B in a good location within Plett.

We spent a week in Plettenberg Bay in March but sadly only our last 4 nights here. I think initially we were put off by a previous inappropriate poor review. The room was wonderful with with great views over the sea and had lovely attention to detail. Breakfast was excellent as was the service and location. Gerald, the manager, couldn't have been more helpful in making ours' a wonderful experience. We just hope that there will be availability for our return.

We booked in on our way to cape town for easter and were so impressed that we booked in again on our return trip the following week. What a wonderful set up - clean, neat rooms with beautiful views and a fabulous breakfast in the warm sunny breakfast room.
We had our 6 year old with us and she stayed and ate breakfast free which was such a bonus!
The rooms were so beautifully decorated and equipped with everything you need - including a packet of biscuits with the tea and coffee service and sweets and easter eggs for our daughter!

It was particularly wonderful after a tiring 6 hours on the road to have a glass of complimentary sherry in the room. What thoughtful hosts to even leave a couple of headache tablets and other emergency remedies in the room including a sewing kit.
Definitely recommended for anyone wanting a home away from home. We will be back!

I stayed overnight in what the owners did not consider their "best room - no garden view", as the rest of the rooms were taken. It was a small room, but with many extras, including full tea tray, fridge, biscuits, sherry, mosquito machine, umbrella, beach towels, TV etc. Very clean and comfortable. Styling is more conservative, i.e. not modern, but the owner, I can see takes a personal interest in every room as she showed me all the items in, case I missed them. I slept well, but in the early morning there was a bit of movement above the room above. I suppose that is why I paid ZAR 395 for the room instead of the usual ZAR 500. I walked to the lagoon, but at high tide you are a bit cut off from the main beach. I suggest a 2 min. drive to the main beaches. Good setting close to amenities. The dining room had two retired couples who were repeat guests from the Netherlands. This tells me that the service is consistent. The breakfast was lovely, with fresh baked muffins, continental style and English style menu available and lovely friendly kitchen staff. This B&B will be around for a long time as they take personal care with their clients. I tried to get a repeat stay on my way back from Cape Town, but they were fully booked again ... need I say more.

Room Tip: The garden facing rooms onto the pool area looked very nice.
