The snake park, it's really good with really big snakes and the anacondas and was impressed. There was also a snake show. The Ocenarium is very small and to me was not at all interesting, maybe is because I was comparing it to Ushaka marine.

Bayworld is a work in progress but we really liked the four hours we spent there. They have an aquarium which needs work and signage although they have African penguins and Sea Lions of different varieties. They have shows that talk about these animals and they are worth it. They also have a snake exhibit with snake dummies--I learned a lot about African snakes from it. In addition, there is a cultural history exhibit which includes the original native peoples; visits by explorers, especially the Portuguese, and what has happened in the past few hundred years. All in all, well worth a half day's visit--and very inexpensive!

It's a good place to take your kids or a school tour, but the magic of having the dolphins at the aquarium is gone. I believe that there was a reason that the dolphins were removed, and was assured that they would be back one day. Not sure how much truth is in that.

I haven't been back since their "re-launch" in 2013, so it might have all changed.

Even though they are undergoing renovations this was just not worth the visit. They should rather close over this time. Aquarium, I am sure some private people have more in their lounge, some penguins a turtle and 4 seals. The museum is so old the displays have lost their color and are dusty and out of date. These 2 took a total of 15 minutes to see, after this disappointment decided to not even bother to go and see the reptiles
