“Penguin rescue”
Reviewed 4 July 2013

The kids loved this outing. We were lucky enough to see a penguin that was just rescued. There is an informative talk on the marine life with life size stuffed animals. We also got to watch penguin feeding. It is not a big facility but worth a visit.

“Always a good experience at SAMREC”
Reviewed 24 June 2013

SAMREC is a really fun and informative visit with a difference. You get to learn a whole lot about marine bird rehabilitation and to see the local penguins first hand. The staff and well informed and enthusiastic and the tour is kept interesting. Kids love it. The tea room serves some tasty cakes and treats.

“Nice trip out”
Reviewed 1 May 2013

We took relatives from the Czech Republic. It was interesting to see the hospital and where they clean and look after any birds that come in.
