We can easily see why this little restaurant is the best in PE!! The food was absolutely delicious, with mouth watering scallops, and inventive sushi. We shared a few of their signature sushi platters and each was as wonderful as the next. It is situated in the trendy restaurant area in Stanley street (i.e. not the tourist strip along the beachfront) with lots of lovely restaurants around. Vibey and with great service. We will DEFINITELY go back again. Even if only for the scallops!

Not a huge vegetarian selection but some tasty treats nonetheless. Can recommend the vegenator sushi and veggie rice for the plant based food lovers.

Although they don't accept reservations, it seems that unless all the stars line up, you may not be able to get a table when you arrive at the restaurant. On the one night we were in Port Elizabeth, we ran into this problem. The hostess was oddly disinterested in giving us an estimate of how long the wait would be and was rather icy in her demeanor. Luckily, on our way out, one of the waitresses mentioned the Fushin Lounge next door and so our evening was salvaged. We had a tasty meal although it took forever for the food to arrive. There was a live performance by a cabaret singer and she was fun and entertaining as was the parking attendant who danced to the music on the opposite sidewalk. The atmosphere at the Lounge was informal and laid back. I'd give Fushin a 2 stars for being so unfriendly but the Lounge saved the day. The food was cooked by the same kitchen and was very good.

This was our second visit to Fushin; definitely one of the reasons why we will continue to visit PE in the future. We tried a new dish - the Peruvian Prince - turns out that the scallops are from Peru. Bit too rich and fishy for us but this is personal taste. Love the NY prawn and crab sushi. Keep it up Mark!
