“Two thumbs up for Thunzi!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 May 2006

What a wonderful setting! The scenery of this place is just simply amazing. It's a little peace of heaven cut out of the natural bush. It was very relaxing to wake up in the morning with nature in surround sound! And the Babaans Walk is a must for all who stay at Thunzi. The whole experience was topped off by an amazing staff - Debbie, Zami, and Zoleka and all the rest. Friendly, warm people committed to making it a great experience. The meals were great, and the breakfasts on the balcony overlooking the wetland area, gave us a refreshing start to our day. The dinner under the open sky is also a must!

Thunzi is relaxing in the true sense of the word!

we booked our first two nights in SA at Thunzi. in the minute we arrived we decided to stay longer.
Tren and the Thunzi team were so friendly and they made our stay the most fantastic one on our whole trip. this place is absoluty relaxing with an amazing scenery, fantastic food- thanks again to ZAMI the chef - and the three rooms are so private and lovely decorated that you never want to leave again. we certainly recommend a stay at this place.

As seasonal travellers my family decided to try something different for our family holiday in December 2005. Thunzi Bush Lodge sounded like a brilliant idea and we never regreted making that decision. The kids loved the privacy of the lodge with everything tailor-made to the guest requirement, the lazy lizard pool was what needed to escape the December heat. The private dinner at the boma was out of this world with superb dishes. I highly recommend Thunzi to anyone who needs tranquility not far away from the city. The only regret i had was that i should have stayed more days unfortunately had to leave for Durban.

My husband and I are self employed in businesses requiring us to be on 24hr call. We booked at Thunzi Bush Lodge over Christmas and again in March 2006. We really relaxed and ate up a storm. The suites are beautiful and the food is excellent. I can highly recommend relaxing and sunning around the pool.

The lodges are set within a woodland setting, facing out over the lush green of the valley and are all designed to be totally private - you can't even see the other lodges from the balcony. The decor and fittings were to a very high standard. We liked it so much, we changed our plans and stayed on an extra day! Tren & Mark are very friendly and hospitable - offering help with activities and bookings for our next stop along the garden route. They made our stay very memorable and we will definitely be going back at some point in the future. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 2 nights and should have stayed longer. The cabins are magical, you feel if you are the only ones there. The view from bed is just trees and birds and walks in the ground are tranquil. Just down the road is the most stunning beach, miles of yellow sand and spectacular dunes. The food was great and we had a celebratary meal under the stars after we beat South Africa at cricket in Jo'burg. Had seen the other days live but watched the final nail biting hours with South Africans in a hotel bar in Port Elizabeth, they were generous losers. A great start to our trip along the Garden Route. We will return to SA, Jo'burg and Thunzi again without a doubt.
