This is a great place to relax, 2 minutes walk to the beach with great hospitality and service with a smile, the food was also very good, ask Richard or Tess to book you the canal cruise.
will return on our next visit, Fantastic.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different but they are all very nice.

The entire staff and specially the owners of the Guest House take extreme care in making the guest feel welcome. Lots of tips on locals must see and good restaurants. St Francis Bay has well known golf facilities and this is an excellent place to stay.

What an amazing little village by the sea and river...not to mention the great hospitality and service of Sandals Guest House and there friendly staff.. This place is so relaxed and care free, almost like you have drifted back in time. So much to do, between the game Farms in close proximity, the amazing beaches, waves, the river and the canals...I would recommend staying at least two or three days here, otherwise you'll struggle leaving here without being able to appreciate all that Saint Francis has to offer...One place that you cannot afford to miss..:)

Thank you Tess, Richard and your team for your warm welcome and excellent hospitality. You made 8 people very happy with your friendly and informative local knowledge, the lovely rooms - and especially your cooking! We had 4 very individual rooms, each with it's own unique quirkiness from the beautiful outdoor shower and the beautifully furnished balcony to our patio where we watched the weaver birds building their nests. Magical. St Francis Bay was the perfect place to relax after our safari in Shamwari and your home really felt like ours so definitely one to reccommend.

Room Tip: No advice needed. All are lovely.

We have a great location between Garden Route choices and the game reserves such as Shamwari, Kariega, Amakhala etc. Thanks for helping other potential travellers with the planning of their route...and thanks for the great review of our property, rooms, small touches and hospitality! We do appreciate this and work so hard to provide this to all our guests.

Oh dear...and you have a LONG wet winter to endure...you will just have to come back in Feb or March 2014 and stay LONGER in the sun!
Our rooms are all great so thanks for the mention. Once "bitten" by the South African bug and our wildlife experiences and you are completely hooked! Yes, you will be back. Of that I have no doubt!
Best advice to all new travellers....as you said...."JUST ENJOY!" Thanks so much.

What an interesting and beautiful place to stay! We stayed here for just one night and definately wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the local area.

We had a very friendly welcome and were quickly shown to our room which was large and full of character! We had a balcany overlooking the garden. Unfortunately there was a huge storm going on whilst we were there so we didnt get to make use of the balcony or the garden.

The bathroom was quite large and well equipped with a separate bath and shower. There were lovely little touches in the bathroom, with lavendar wrapped around each new toilet roll and a couple of other things. The room was clean.

Breakfast here was lovely! Breakfast would usually be served outside but due to the weather we sat inside around the fire. During breakfast the Guest House owner came to introduce herself and she was very friendly and interested in us and our trip.

The area was fascinating, with all houses built in a similar style. The gentleman who checked us in recommended a number of places to eat, at varying locations and verying styles. We chose a french restaurant in the harbour and we were not disappointed! The area seemed very safe and we used the supermarket there. We just wished that we had had more time and better weather to explore some more.
