“My home in Joburg”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 February 2011

Honestly this is the perfect place to stay if you're in South Africa for a safari. I spend one night after my return from a safari. Anthony was so friendly and made feel at home. He was there to help me with all what I needed and organized a great tour of Soweto with Mdu despite a short notice of time. The lodge is clean, beautiful with its Safari like presentation, bedrooms are large and so comfortable. The food was great at dinner and breakfeast. The staff was nice and very professional. In brief, this is the perfect location to stay in Joburg especially if you have the Safari spirit.

MoAfrika is excellent for all of the right reasons. Its tranquil location is suprisingly a convenient 15 mins. from the airport. The rooms are very clean and the beds are the most comfortable I have slept on in recent memory. The staff are incredibly friendly and will help to arrange all of your travel and tourism needs for a reasonable price. Simply put, if/when I return to Johannesburg, I will also be returning to MoAfrika.

We were 3 travellers for 1 night before going on a safari and one night before going back home. The owner, Anthony, picked us up at the airport. We had a warm welcome of all the employees of the lodge. The room was perfect, breakfast was very good on the terrace and we had good tips for the rest of our journey. We had a good stay and we recommend this lodge.

We stayed at MoAfrika Lodge for 3 nights after our trip to Kruger. The lodge is situated within easy access time both to the international airport, and the large shopping centers.
It is really like staying in a typical lodge - but in the heart of the city.
Very quiet and pastoral, with unbelievably comfortable rooms (just the bed was worth the stay!). Unwinding on the deck after a hard day's touring or shopping - nothing better.

Actually what you looking for after/before an long distance flight is a quiet, calmly and peacefully place to stay, to come down and to get a first vibe of South African well known hospitality. Moafrica is one of these places in Jozi. It’s just a jump of a cat from Airport but within a complete kind of countryside scenery. There is also a shopping yard near to catch all things you urgently need to have on vacation. The accommodation itself is a new born star under the “money for value places” in Jozi. There a lots of them, certainly, but not worth to stay in or to talk about. Believe me, as a tour operator, I’ve seen many places here. The most important points, it’s safe, clean and with very friendly, helpfully staff. No noise, no street, no Pub will disturb your sleep ever.

We stayed at Moafrika for one night after arriving at Jo'burg from Capetown. Moafrkda is situated less than 20 minutes from Jo'burg airport and was so convenient for our onward trip to Kruger National Park. The owner/host picked us up at the airport and took us to our accommodation. If you are looking for something a little bit different this is your place. Beautiful surroundings out in the country, the lodgings have a swimming pool, fantastic clean and comfortable rooms but its the host who really makes your stay personable. He was happy to drop us into town to do some shopping and pick us up again at a set time. He organised us a take-out breakfast roll as we had a pick up time of 5.30am for our onward trip to Kruger. We really couldn't be happier with our choice of accommodation, it certainly beats staying in a stuffy hotel in the centre of Jo'burg!
