Janine and Mike are wonderful hosts, making me feel as though I were truly a family friend and not just a paying guest. There was a mix-up in my departure and I had to stay well into the afternoon. They remained gracious and kind despite having their family and friends visiting while I was 'hanging out'. Such generosity of spirit can be felt throughout the house and grounds, making it a lovely place to stay.

Janine, Mike and the staff were great. I had a 2 seperate planned stays in the Cotswold Gardens in the same week and on one evening they were able to accomodate me when I had to stay an extra night at the last minute. The room was spacious with a private big bathroom that was very well kept. When I needed information about taxis, tours, or nightlife, Janine was on the phone making calls or looking up information. Personal note: the breakfasts are delicious; a true "homey" experience. Thanks guys for a great stay!

I had a lovely stay for 3 nights and could not have been more pleased. The hosts - Janine and Mike are wonderful people that make you feel truly welcomed and looked after, they will do what ever is needed to ensure a wonderful stay for you. The rooms are comfortable, clean and with many details not overlooked (coffee/tea in room with fabulous cookies as one example). The location near rosebank mall is perfect for other meals and the wonderful sunday arts market on the roof if you can make it. The breakfast is made to order as you like your eggs, bacon, mushrooms, etc with fruit, cheese and more. A perfect place to end my 3 week african adventure as i head home.

Spent a few nights there, the owners were exceptionally nice and the staff were very curtious and helpful. The rooms were clean and well laid out. I couldn't ask for more in a hotel!

during our stay we became friends to the wonderful couple Janine and Mike and thank them for the warm welcome and lovely stay with them. The location of Cotswold Gardens was perfect for us and the the different rooms are all of best quality, including delicious breakfast served by Aron, a friendly and well educated Malawian. Hard to say which room we would prefer next time, one or two have self catering equipment for longer stays.

Cotswold Gardens is a wonderful place to stay in the city of Jo'burg. The owners make you feel as though you're part of the family and couldn't have been more hospitable. The breakfasts were all you could ask for and them some. They arranged for airport pick-up and drop-off and made restaurant suggestions, along with reservations and taxis. A day long personal tour of the Apartheid Museum and Soweto were also arranged and well worth the price of admission.
The gardens themselves must be beautiful in the spring when all is in bloom because in the fall they were still wonderful and a nice respite from the crowds and noise of the city. I can't speak highly enough about Cotswold Gardens and would stay there again in a heartbeat.
