I stayed at Ginnegaap Guesthouse for 10 days in June and July in a lovely appartment. I loved the vintage style there! It was really cosy and I felt like in a cocoon. Warm Welcome and excellent Service. Great Breakfast!

Great place in a bohemian and fun part of Joburg. Excellent value and the staff are very accommodating, they do a pickup from the airport and can give lifts around town which is really useful. Excellent breakfasts.

I found the Ginegaap Fuesthouse on venere.com and since I knew Melville from previous trips to Jo'burg I decided to give it a try for a long weekend. Location wise the guesthouse isn't too difficult to find once you are on Melville's main drag, i.e. Seventh Street. I was staying in the main house, which has a charming and homely feel. The room was nice and clean with wooden floor and a little veranda. Toilet and shower had been added at a later stage in a little annex. The room featured a television as well as kettle, with tea and filter (!) coffee. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast menu offered a good choice. All in all a nice place to spend a few nights in Jo'burg. However, due to the wooden floors in the house and annex, the room isn't absolutely soundproof but the charm and friendly atmosphere does easily make up for this. And be warned, if you leave your door open you might find a curious cat sitting on your bed.

There were 3 of us travelling on business. We had a great stay here in 2 self-catering apartments and a luxury room. The rooms were clean, service was excellent. We felt safe and looked after. Breakfast was perfect. Short walk in a safe area to restaurants. Nice small pool to relax besides. Free wi-fi was essential. Rooms are enormous. Included irons and ironing boards, very useful as we were on business. Plenty of international TV channels. We were really delighted with our choice of accommodation, it made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable.

From the minute we arrived, I felt special as we were greeted by Patrick at the gate. We were escorted to our parking space and he made sure that everything was explained to us, showing us around and taking care of the luggage, etc. It is such a lovely place, very safe, with your own privacy, yet homely, very clean with a comfortable bed and fantastic shower. The owners also came by and made us feel right at home. The next morning breakfast was served on time & the friendly Patrick again explained the menu and made sure we left with good memories - a place we will definately return to.

Room Tip: There is 2 rooms tucked away in a small garden, next to the pool. Very private, we loved it there. Number 11 or 12 is a must.
