Great hotel with lots of character. Planned to use the hotel as a base but it felt like home from home so spent two full days using the fantastic facilities. The staff were really polite and helpful . The restaurant was cosy and both lunch and dinner menus were excellent.

Beautiful house converted to a hotel in a safe neighborhood near Nelson Mandela’s house. Unfortunately we only had one night here before our safari, I would have liked to stay longer given the room we had (5) and facilities. Great way to start a honeymoon. Room had an outdoor hot tub and shower with sun beds, ultimate privacy. The service was friendly and 5 Star. Breakfast was plentiful, hot breakfast along with buffet. Had dinner one evening, complete with piano player, but I must Compliment the waitstaff - very sweet people and attentive. I would stay here again, but more than 1 day to enjoy the pool and tennis court!

My husband and I spent one night at The Residence to celebrate our anniversary. I didn't want to leave! The attention to detail, the friendliness and professionalism of the staff, the wonderful spa, the excellent breakfast - to name but a few of the things that made me happy...I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Room with a jacuzzi

My wife and I spent two great nights at the Residence Hotel before embarking on a safari. The hotel provided excellent transportation from the airport which was very nice after a long flight. Staff members (Charity, Moses, Richard) greeted us immediately upon our arrival at the hotel, graciously offering cold drinks and a warm welcome.
We stayed in the beautiful Madiba Suite.
Breakfasts, lunch and dinners at the hotel were excellent, all staff members were personable and attentive. Overall service very commendable.
We would not hesitate to stay at the Residence Hotel again.

The room, overlooking the pool, was exceptional in its location and decor. The intimate balcony with its surrounding greenery was a surprise - and the quiet location of this hotel as well as its pickup service at Tambo International Airport was well executed and went off without a hitch. Both dinner as well as breakfast the following day - along with the arrangement for another transport were faultlessly executed. A great start to our trip to the Private Preserves Timbavati and Sabi Sands via Skukuza Airport at Kruger National Park.

Room Tip: Both of the rooms e booked were exceptional - overlooking the pool.
