Enjoyed the music and break dancing, tasty food with very good variety. It's real Joburg but watch for your wallet & stuff ;)

This fantastic foodie venue "pops" up every Saturday in Braamfontien. If you are in Joburg on a Saturday, I highly recommend that you make some time to go to the Neighbourgoods Market. You will need to ensure you have time to do the circuit once through to get a sense of all the amazing offerings, because you will need to plan what you want to eat before committing. Too many good choices.
Sounds weird that it is held on two levels of a parking garage, but it really works and, you don't feel like you are in a parking garage for the time that you are there, what with the long communal eating table, set with dramatic flowers etc.

A place to be - only Saturdays, located in a former car park...explore food from all over the world, chat to people from Jozi (originals, newcomers, remainers), tourists...enjoy a gals of wine and listen to live music...shop cool vintage stuff...

In the heart of Braamfontein - and even around the market so many things to explore...so maybe you need to come more often:)

We are there at least once a month...

The Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein is a great place to visit on a Saturday morning (but get there early because it does get busy). I have been twice and thoroughly enjoyed both visits - the food is great, and it is a good place to try all sorts of unusual craft beers, wines and champagnes.

The market makes you realise how friendly Jo'burgers are. The mix of people is very broad, with young and older from all sorts of backgrounds and every has a great time together. It is also very encouraging so see Braamfontein being re-born.

Jo'burg needs more venues like this.
