We stopped here as a part of the red city bus tour. We had 40 minutes between stops and they honestly could not have passed fast enough. You can see everything the museum has to offer in 15 minutes. Staff is rude, collection dusty, toilets unkempt and just an overall useless experience.

a lovely little museum, with transport dating from the 1800s to present day. very interesting to those with a curiosity in the progress of transport. full of interesting, quaint little things. a pleasant stop, takes you back in time effortlessly with each well organised section. Well kept on the inside, less so on the outside.

This was a stop on the Hoho bus & and we went following tripadvisor recommendations.
It is a lovely little museum, nicely laid out with clear & interesting explanations in the carriage area.
Unfortunately the vehicles outside are very dusty which is a pity, however as the museum is free (only a donation box) maybe lack of funds is the reason. An hour is sufficient to see more or less everything.
I wouldn't say this is a "must see" in Jburg but we certainly enjoyed our time there.

It was great to see all the old transport favorites of yesteryear, but sad to see that not all is receiving the attention in upkeep that they should, before long the old reliables will also be scrap metal of the past.

Can't believe that this attraction is free. There is so much to see and explore that it's well worth an entrance fee. Could use a bit of updating but it's a lot of fun anyway. Great for kids or adults who like cars.
