Peace and tranquilty overcomes you as you enter the home of the Great Mahatma. Here you can take in all that you want to know and learn about this great Father of our Nation. The Kraal (hut) is the section which Mahatma lived a simple life. It is filled with treasures of books, artifacts, maps of his journies etc. I have taken much learning away from here. The vegetable garden flourishes with lettuce, peppers , spinach etc. The much newer section built is the guest house but it does not intrude on the space of the kraal. Just looking into the rooms , it is has very basic and simple decor, much the same way the Great Mahatma lived his life. The small garden is peaceful and serene. Mohammed received us with much warmth and kindness. It was interesting to note that the Museum is now owned by the French.
