I came across this restaurant/deli whilst searching for molecular gastronomy chemicals for my cooking. La marina foods stocks the el bulli range of molecular gastronomy kits, expensive caviar, parmigano reggiano, candied chestnuts, sheriphied caviar that's not caviar!! You have to visit this place if you're a food guru. Everything from sushi ingredients to Italian olive oils. The deli stocks fresh fish like hake, salmon and oysters. There's also a range of cured meats. There's a freezer stocked with exotic seafoods such as lobsters, abalone, razor clams and scallops. If you prefer eating rather than cooking, the deli cook up almost all the fish/seafood they sell. It's the only place in SA where you can buy abalone!!! Which is delicious.
