My boyfriend and I stayed here while visiting for a wedding, and it took my breath away. Gorgeous property, with gorgeous buildings and rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful!
They upgraded us to the main suite both times were were there (without us asking), and allowed us to leave our larger bags while we went off to a game reserve ... no extra charge.
The breakfast was nice in a quaint room. They provide fruit, yogurt, granola, and they make you eggs to your liking, along with serving tea or coffee.
There were social rooms in the building our suite was in, and every view from each room, and the roof party room, was amazing!!!
Melville is a quaint part of town. The walk to the main strip is about 10-15 minutes, and it wasn't recommended that we walk it at night. But on the walk there are antique shops, restaurants, movie rental shops, and it's just a cute neighborhood.
Our only complaint was that a couple of times there were people who gathered and played/performed music (poorly) in the party room above our suite after we had gone to bed. I'm sure we could have gotten up and requested them be quiet, but we were feeling non-confrontational.
We would both stay there again!
(We actually stayed there in September 2012, but Tripadvisor didn't have an option for that).More
