Description: **** LOOK OUT FOR AN EXCITING CHANGE AS THRIVE CAFE IS RE-MODELLED INTO THE FAMOUS SOUTH AFRICAN BRAND:"VUYO'S" EFFECTIVE LATE MARCH 2016 Simple food made great! High quality irresistable dishes that you will return for over and over again. Located in Vilakazi Street, only home of 2 Nobel prize winners and one of the most historically significant streets of Soweto and which is steeped in history. Thrive is a stone's throw from Nelson Mandela and Winnie Mandela's first home and that of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and is near the Hector Pieterson Museum. Our ultra-modern cafe / restaurant was built in 2013 and opened in November 2013. Thrive provides an opportunity for local and overseas visitors as well as Sowetan locals to relax and indulge in very stylish surroundings and rely on and enjoy our unique modern food experience which includes our deep coffee flair that we have brought to Soweto. Perfect for year-end and other corporate and private functions as well as weekend brunches, lunches and suppers. We are fully licenced and offer a discerning range of wines, champagnes, spirits, beers and ciders. We are also able to arrange shuttle transport to and from the restaurant for groups as well as Tours of Soweto.

Thrive Café is in the heart of Soweto's sightseeing district.
I went for breakfast with my family from overseas. We had the freshest, most mouth-watering croissants. Their freshly squeezed apple and ginger juice is the perfect way to start any day.
The restaurant is beautifully designed and the upstairs balcony offers amazing views.
Its always great to go to a place that is warm and welcoming. The staff at Thrive went out of their way to make our visit a memorable one! Can’t wait for my next visit!
