This is a place to visit if you are in JHB, it houses the planetarium, origins center and a conference facility that is worth the visit. The restaurant here is lovely and serves delicious food (olives and plates at the conference center ). the fields r in excellent condition as are the lawns. the libraries have some fantastic and rare books. do not risk other eateries such as those located in The Matrix building: most are edible, but that is all that they are. The Wits Theatre and the Wits Art gallery are worth a visit too. The Oppenheimer life sciemces museum is filled with weird and wonderful little creatures, some embalmed and some very much alive. many of the buildings from when the university was founded are still standing. The ages and changes of architecture and style are easily seen as you walk through the campus. Stumbling across surprising nooks and crannies can frequently happen- after spending 3 years here there is still much I haven't discovered!
