very nice hostel with excellent vibes, lots of live music and good location (in mabo neng). very friendly and helpful staff. walking tours were on the expensive side but i didn't do any so i can't speak to their quality.
there is some noise so if you want a quiet relaxing time this may not be your vibe.

My friend and I spent our christmas there, before going on a save volunteer project. They prepared a full course christmas dinner meal for people who signed to attend (for an extra cost, ofc). Very delicious and homey, got to know new people who were staying there (which were all lovely and pretty friendly). Staffs took a good care of us, giving advices ect. nice location too, few coffee shops near by.
Bheki and the team curated an amazing all-day company year-end experience. An educational, cultural, interactive and fun way to bond with colleagues. Thank you to the Curiocity team for the wonderful memories.
Did a walking tour of downtown - around 4 hours overall. Very good experience and covered ALOT of ground, not just Maboneng but main downtown and Bloomfontein areas as well. The guide knew his stuff. Highly recommended, even if you are not worried about safety while walking you'll never come to understand the area as well without the guide.
The hostel is on the fox street which is lively from morning till evening.
People working at reception, bar and around are extremely helpful. My rating is all for them. Sadly the hostel including my room, bathroom, toilets were dirty. Dustbins were always full. Bathrooms had no hand wash. Communal kitchen was kept clean, probably the only common place that I felt was clean.
Breakfast was delicious. Loved it.
I booked myself for all the tours from here and I loved how they were delivered.
How I wish the place was kept clean, hygienic and had atleast the basics available in bathroom. Though they had dispensers for hand wash, conditioner, shampoo etc but they all were empty. Get yourself an Uber from the airport. Their charges for the pickup and drop are expensive. It can be really noisy at night if you look to sleep before midnight.
