First night in SA- after a long haul flight from Auckland-New Zealand. What a wonderful experience to arrive at this marvelous boutique hotel and be looked after so well. Lovely spacious rooms, very well appointment, fantastic restaurant and food experience, with wine to match, served by lovely staff with huge smiles.
I would recommend this hotel to you all, in fact we went there twice- on arrival and then again on departure.

Room Tip: Ni tips required, all rooms are excellent

Our flight got in about 5 am and we were cheerfully shuttled to the hotel where we were warmly welcomed by Numfundo and shown to our lovely room. This was the start to a three night, very pleasant stay. Otti and Zelda have assembled a wonderful staff who made us feel very much at home. Chef Christine, Carmen, Jiimy and Shanel looked after us very well. We felt comfortable walking around the residential neighbourhood and found a grocery store not too far away. The location is a bit remote and we found no other restaurants within walking distance. However we enjoyed all our meals at the hotel and spent some time sitting in the inviting garden at the pool. The internet was a bit of a challenge, but overall we will have fond memories of this special hotel.

Unfortunately we had only one night in this wonderful intimate boutique hotel on our way to the airport. What a gem it is.!! Situated in a gated residential area it was a little difficult to find given that there is no signage other than ARH on the gate of the hotel. It is a small brilliantly restructured hotel ( formerly a home) Each room is designed and decorated differently with very modern, conveniences. Beautiful garden area with pool, patio and fireplace. Gardens are a private oasis surrounded by beautiful trees. Staff are most friendly and accomodating. Chef Christine does an amazing dinner menu- food was excellent and beautifully presented. this is ideal for business travellers and couples- children wouldn't be appreciated by other travellers at this establishment. The only negative was fee for internet and uncomfortable chairs in the dining area. Chairs were too deep and needed cushions for back support
PS We had an early flight the next morning so were not able to enjoy a breakfast there, however the staff had carry-bag lunches for all of us to take with us to the ariport, including sandwiches, muffins, drinks and fruit. Well done and very much appreciated!!

Room Tip: You would be pleased with ANY room here!! Make sure you stay for dinner.

We stayed end January 2013 for 5 days and were on their last minute deal which includes dinner in the room price. We also stayed here in January 2012 and the price has gone up with 15% and now it seems a little too high, and you even have to pay for internet.
We love to stay at this small hotel - the people, the service and the kitchen are just perfect. On the negative side the rooms for us are a little dark. Also you have to pay for the Internet.

I stayed here twice in JAN 2013. I cant really add too much more than what has already been said in the other reviews as this place is a real gem. As a business traveller who is always on the go the friendly welcome made you actually feel like "coming home" each day. The food was simply superb. The Head Chef Christine was able to provide everything from sandwiches to five star dining with a smile and with five star quality. I guess the best thing I can say is that this is now my hotel of choice in Joburg and I will be back without a doubt.Full credit to the Hotel Management and all the staff for developing an excellent product and taking time to listen to their customers.

Room Tip: I stayed in two different rooms (9 and 6) on 2 visits during JAN - both were excellent.

This hotel was an absolute pleasure to stay – from beginning to end.

The staff and owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and as the hotel is quite small, it was more like returning home at the end of each day.

The rooms were decorated in an open plan style with a free standing bath – very comfortable indeed. My only minor criticism was that the lighting in the rooms could be a little brighter.

The food was sublime – the chef Christine greeted you at each meal time and explained the menu – indeed she was happy to make adjustments if required. Every meal was superb and the packed lunches excellent.

This is certainly my hotel of choice in Jo'burg. A very short 15 minute ride from the airport – so if you need a stopover – this is the place to go.

I will be returning again.
