Warm wellcome, caring, very nice rooms, superb breakfast, helpful, nice garden.

We only stayed here because our other location was overbooked and a second time the other location had some flood damage.

But this was a great luck. This is a really nice place and I can only tell the best about it.

The surroundings are poor (you can not do a walk outside and see something interresting) but this is with all the hotels in this area.

They will take you to a small mall, where you can get some stuff.

It could be a bit a hassle to get a nice dinner if they don't do a barbeque and you arrive late (once we had the delicous barbeque and the 2nd time we were brought to the pizza restaurant to take something away and they offered us a glass of wine and we had a very nice chat for hours. To compare the other hotel (we had to stay one night) anyhow just served some microwave food and half of the menue was off, so a nice fresh pizza was better than that).

At Malikana you can relax and enjoy the small nice "zoo", the sunset and the nice garden, you can also relax in the big "living room / bar" etc.

If they cook a barbeque you have to be part of it, it is just delicous. As well as the very nice breakfast.

It is a good place to be before and after your trip to somewhere out of Joberg.

Thank you for your warm hosting.

Chris and Michelle

They said the next project would be a pool. That is not really needed but a nice add on (the pool in the OTHER hotel was just dirty and in a poor setting, so we would prefer to watch TV). If a pool at Malikana will be there, it will be in a very nice setting.

Sorry we write so late, we had now 8 month a hassle with air france to get our money back on a flight they booked us wrong, it was a lot of money and it made a black cloud on our start of our holidays. But at Malikana they helped us in any way they could. Thank you !!!

i stay here when my husband was working in JOHANNESBURG
Safe quiet neighborhood, close to airport. New bungalows with all amenities once can think of. Food as excellent, host was caring and helps you in any way they can. Great little bar area and play room, stay for 2 weeks The owner Barend and Soekie where really nice and helped us put the finishing touches on our trip. Soekie even drove me out to the supermarket and back. The grounds are large, they have a nice outdoor wildlife area with springboks and other animals.
