“What a unique experience”

We stayed in the mountain facing room on the 3rd floor, it was beautiful, such a relaxing stay. They were also very accommodating when it came to our little boy. The service is great and the food was out of this world, be sure to enjoy their breakfast as part of your stay. I would recommend Vineyard hotel to anyone, not only was a great experience all round but it is also centrally located, so you are close to all the great spots that you might want to visit.

Room Tip: Mountain facing rooms

We stayed for 2 nights and what a great hotel all round ! Attending a gourmet 4 course wine pairing dinner with Graham Beck wines was one of many highlights; 2nd night Mike Bassets Myoga was our choice for dinner which also lived up to expectations - rooms are well appointed and very spacious! Arguable the best eggs Benedict in town. Staff very warm and friendly! A must stay for when in Cape Town

This is an excellent hotel with real historical credentials, as first occupied by english nobility in the 1700s & more recently by english celebrities i.e the england football team during the south african world cup. Top notch rooms, lovely bathroom with separate bath & shower, good access to satellite tv, beautiful gardens & a view of table mountain to die for! The highlight for me however, was the magnificent breakfast -3 courses & just about everything you could desire.

We stayed here for two nights. They were busy with renovations in certain areas (one being the hallway in which our room was located) but this wasn't too much of a hassle.

The view is really spectacular. You are surrounded by mountains and forget you are in the city. There is a beautiful trail you can walk where you can also make acquaintance with the resident tortoises and some big scary spiders :)

Every evening with the turn down they give you a Charles Herman Bosman story to read and I really enjoyed this touch and couldn't wait to read them. The room was on the smaller side but given the view you want to rather sit outside anyway.

We didn't eat here but they offer high tea and food, which I'm told is good. Staff very friendly and efficient. Great hotel.

Everything you hope to expect from a hotel, especially the fine dining. The evening dining a perfect atmosphere with the piano and a glass of wine from their good wine collection. After breakfast you can walk in the amazing garden, with flowing water or simply enjoy it from the patio with the mountain view .

Great service, sport facilities, excellent rooms, excellent service. But the main thing I like the most is that they have much attention to detail. For the price you pay I can't think of a better hotel in that area.

Flights from Heathrow Terminal 4 with Qatar Airways were excellent. The journey via Doha, Joburg to Cape Town, long, but plenty of food, water, alcoholic drinks, films, gentle and soothing music etc. A peacefull night flight. We were collected from Cape Town Airport by a Vineyard Hotel driver in a beautifull Mercedes, (small extra cost). Our Vineyard hotel room was lovely, huge bed, sleep like a log, and the early breakfast was ideal. The scenic journey to the Aquila game park, two hours away, was in a minibus with several guests from other hotels. On arrival to the game reserve, we were offered a lovely tasty breakfast, after breakfast we were guided to the safari 4 x 4 jeep type transport, We saw, rhinos, elephants, hippos, buffalo, lions, leopards, zebra, cheetahs, giraffe, and antelope. After the safari tour we had a dinner/afternoon lunch, before our early evening return to the Hotel. The following morning we asked the hotel if they could drive us to the Cape Town Cruise Port, again a (small extra cost). Thank you to the drivers and the staff at the Vineyard Hotel. We had a couple of hours to walk the Hotel gardens, and they were lovely, with grand views of Table Mountain as a back drop, complete with huge tortoises, exotic birds, plants, and flowers. We arrived at the port, embarked the MSC Opera to do a 19 day trip home to the UK via Walvis bay, Namibia, Dakar, Senegal, Santa Cruz,Tenerife, Funchal, Madeira, Lisbon, Portugal, Vigo, Spain, and Cherbourg, France. The MSC staff were amazing!! Thank you Ultra Cruises for suggesting this Grand Voyage Cruise, the balcony cabin was good. MSC were not the best cruise company that we have travelled with, as we had issues with cleanliness in the cabin, but outside of the cabin entertainment was top notch. The entertainment staff organising games at the pool side were excellent, as were some of the shows. The food was not gourmet, we have had much better but we did not starve!! Drinks on board were very reasonably priced. The itinerary was excellent

Room Tip: We had a 2nd floor room with a small balcony, looking onto the courtyard area, This room was ideal...
