Stayed here for a short workshop. Doesn't quite have the charm of many of the smaller guesthouses in Pretoria. The set up is kind of like a motel with rooms opening out to an open walkway in front of parking. Most of the area is taken up by driveways or buildings. Green space is limited although they make an effort to do something with what they have. The pool and gym are tiny.

The location is very good being right across the street from the US Embassy and next to the Australian High Commission. A block away is a shopping plaza with a couple restaurants and cafes as well as a all grocery store ( Woolworth's).

Extreemly easy to find and most convenient, good secure parking, large modern rooms with all conveniences. An efficient freindly reception. Meals were good, especially breakfast. For business stop over in Pretoria it had all I needed.

The lunch and dinner buffet were awful. Two salads, one of which was frozen peas drowned in mayonaise. Overcooked, tasteless vegetables, The roas lamb was ok. Cold pancakes for dessert. The dinner was a repeat, except the lamb was replaced with a beef roast. The wine list pathetic. Just four reds and four whites, all mass produced labels. The young, untrained lady at the bar knew nothing about wines. A mystery how this hotel has four stars.

I stayed here during a work trip. Couldn't find many pictures of the hotel rooms online so was slightly apprensive. There was no need to worry as it was a really nice hotel. The staff were really helpful & friendly, & the rooms were clean. It was winter when I visited & there was a lovely fireplace in the reception/bar area. The food in the restaurant was also nice.

My first impression of the hotel was not favourable, as they had no booking for me, despite my office having promised me that they had booked. The fault proved to be that the Hotel had sent an email with an incorrect address, so the return email had not worked.

Luckily, the hotel had rooms and suites available, and as I considedred the suites to be reasonably priced (about £90) I opted for one. This proved to be a good choice, as I had a sitting room with a small kitchen as well as a very comfortable bedroom. There was even a private garden. The rooms had all the usual amenities as well as free wifi, something which I had not often come across in South Africa.

I marked the hotel down slightly on cleanliness only on the basis that maintenance work was being carried on, and this had caused dust to get into the pool, which I therefore could not use. Otherwise there was no problem.

The hotel is opposite the US embassy, and near many other embassies, in an area which felt reasonably safe.

There is a comfortable bar with drinks at reasonable prices. I did not eat dinner at the hotel, but breakfast was fine, although the room was cramped, again owing to the maintenance. The staff were friendly and helpful.
