I enjoyed my apartment whilst in Sandton last week.
The staff knowing their guests and actively supporting every request.
Breakfast in the lounge simple but good for a fast traveller and wifi access free to a certain limit.
I felt secure and cared for. On my last day when checking out of my room and picking up luggage at the end of the day, I was offered to use the room nearby reception for shower and a rest.
Would recommend to take a room in buildings B-E if you don;t want to directly face Rivonia road.

Keep in mind that the reception closes between 7pm- 7am, so arrange for everything outside those hours.

We have stayed in these apartments for 2 weeks. The cleaning lady was very friendly and did a great job at keeping everything tidy. The apartment was big, location was close to work, having your own kitchen is nice and the beds were very good.

There was however, not one day where we enjoyed privacy. There were random people walking trough our apartments garden, even some children looking trough our bedroom window and very poor service from the staff. The receptionist was very rude and unwilling to assist. DsTV wasn't working as it should, nobody came to fix that. The apartments were not soundproof and it was very noisy. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Room Tip: If you like your privacy, make sure you do not get apartment A2. everybody used it as a quick way to...

Chose this accommodation for a weeks stay for work with a colleague. We chose the two bedroom apartment. First impressions were not great. Receptionist struggled to find the key. We were given apartment e5. Having travelled long haul we realised we would need to climb five flights of stairs as there was no elevator. Apartment itself was very nice...both bedrooms were spacious-one with bath and shower the other slightly smaller room shower only. Reasonably sized living room area and fitted kitchen. It was difficult to get the apartment warm due to the stone/tiled floor. Breakfast was 80 rand and included cereals and yogurts and cooked breakfast to order. Note that on a weekend breakfast is not available till 09.00 am and weekdays 07.00 am which is slightly late if you have to hit the traffic early. Also note that despite the close proximity to Mandela square always get a taxi after dark as we had a very unpleasant encounter with the metro police one evening

Room Tip: If you have heavy cases ask for a lower room floor

Stayed here for a week with work colleague in the two bedroom apartment. First impression wasnt great as the receptionist couldnt find the keys. We were given apartment E5. Having arrived on a long haul flight it was an unpleasant surprise to find no lifts and have to haul a very heavy case up five flights of stairs. The accomodation itself was very nice. Two large bedrooms both en-suite, a large central seating area with TV and a fully fitted kitchen. As it was winter in SA I did find the apartment cold due to the stone/tiled floor and it was difficult to get the rooms heated. My bedroom in particular was very cold and the fan heater didnt really help. Breakfast (not included) at R80 included choice of cereals, yoghurts and juices with cooked breakfast to order by the very friendly lady in the kitchen. Staff on reception also friendly. As we had to leave at 8.45 on the Saturday morning it was not possible to get a breakfast as it only started at 9. A good location close to Mandela Square meant you could walk to the restaurants etc. whilst it was light. Do NOT risk walking after dark...my colleague and I had a very unpleasant experience walking back ...although its close, get a cab back. Should cost approx R80.

Room Tip: If you have heavy cases ask for a lower floor room as there are no lifts/elevators

Stayed 2 nights at Villa Executive Apartments. It is located near Sandton City and 5 minutes walk to Nelson Mandela Square. We were group of three persons and stayed in two bedroom apartment at the second floor. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern. One big room with a queen bed and small room with two single beds, two bathrooms, lounge and a dining table. Seems to be perfect for a family with two kids or 3 businessmen. The kitchen is well equipped but you can also order decent breakfast in the lounge at the entrance. Smokers would like balcony outside.

One problem I found during my stay was electricity. The light of the bathroom kept in and out and one time all electricity got down when I tried to turn on the electric stove in the kitchen. The repairman came quickly and got the lights on, but we were not able to use the stove.

Overall I am quite satisfied with this apartments and definitely stay again for my next visit to Johannesburg.

It's a no brainer, really! Great location in Sandton. 5 mins walk to Mandela Square. Tastefully furnished. Equipped with complete kitchen, wireless internet, a study that can be converted into a 2nd, bedroom and Satellite TV with great channels(which you can upgrade to the full bouquet of over 80 channels). Suites have great lighting,
The staff are very friendly and hardly intrusive.
However, be sure to have confirmed your reservation before arriving. They are such demand that anything can happen.
It's been a while since my last stay (2 yrs) but I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: If you like gardens, ask for one of the ground floors. They have a small garden enclosure complete w...
