When traveling through, tried to stop for breakfast whenever possible - rarely open late enough for lunch - they close at 1:15. Something's happened lately though and now I avoid it like the plague. Gave them a few chances always poor on service. Rude, actually.

This diner just off of I-40 is just perfect for lunch. I had the soup and sandwich whiteboard special and a banana nut muffin to go. Service is ultra friendly and you may hear the wisecracking cooks tell a few corny jokes. Locals abound in this place where everyone knows your name.

As per the review on Trip Advisor, we decided to stop at the Roadrunner Café on our way to Sedona Arizona. Immediately we were greeted with a warm hello from all employees. I ordered coffee and their chicken fried steak breakfast. The breakfast came with large portion of hash-browns, two eggs, chicken fried steak smothered with a very good tasting gravy and toast. I was completely satisfied in all areas. The other three the party ordered chicken fried steak breakfast bowls, pecan waffles, coffee. The ladies swore the waffles were the best they have ever eaten. The service was excellent and fast. We gave them a 4.5 star rating, as the coffee, even though it had good flavor, it was just above lukewarm, even after they made a new pot. If you're looking for a luxury restaurant, you may want to pass this up. But if you are looking for great, home cooking food, you don't want to pass this one up. We'll be back!

After doing a quick search on Trip Advisor, we stopped here for lunch on our way to Zion NP. The Cafe lived up to its reviews. The food was very good. We were served by the mother and daughter, and it looked like the dad and son were working in the kitchen while grandma ran the register. Service was very prompt and pleasant. Plus the cafe seemed to be filled with locals which is always a good sign. It's always nice to support a family business.

Stopped in for lunch on the way to Zion. Small diner, clean with exceptionally fast and friendly service. Ordered the Ortega Chili Cheeseburger. Very tasty and the cole slaw was great. All in all, a great alternative to the usual fast food alternatives.
