Leopard Rock Lookout Chalets & Coffee Shop/Restaurant
Reviewed 10 March 2014

These chalets are of an excellent standard, immaculate in every detail with lots of added thoughtful extras. Exceptionally clean, beautiful. The views are breathtaking and the setting very peaceful. This is a place where dreams come true. Everything is perfect. So much thought put into every little detail by the hosts Sue and Andreis, they could not have made our stay more perfect. Home made biscuits, chutney, jam, dressing and even the bath salts. Immaculate bathroom including the Jacuzzi and outdoor shower overlooking the beautiful views. The stars at night finishing off a truly beautiful place. Highly recommended and we will certainly return. Kevin and Larraine UK

I already reviewed this venue, but my entry got missing. Weird. Good I kept the photos, as this is truly an outstanding guesthouse, really worth visiting.

Stayed here in July, for just one night (if I knew it'd be so good I'd stay two).

Chalet is very big, with big bed, some stereo set, small kitchen, fridge (with complimentary bottle of champagne!), bathroom (jacuzzi) with extra outside free-air shower, and most importantly -- a terrace with tremendous view of the valley (just look at pictures). I've spent 4 hours just reading a book and enjoying the view (and wine, and champagne).
Breakfast is served in nearby building, also with valley view.
There's quite a lot of attractions nearby (Baboons Castle, Eagles Nest, line-jumping etc).

What a stay! I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Lovely cottages , nestled over looking the gorge ,properly one of the best view's you will ever see !! What a peaceful and tranquil setting and again those view's are to die for. The owners went out of their way to make you fell at home . The cottages were amazing ...outdoor showers with that view , Jacuzzi bath , massive lazy boys to soak up the view's . The cottages were equipped, with everything and anything . With a lot of those small extra's you don't usually get or expect : bath salts ( HOMEMADE ) , home made biscuits , complementary sparking wine and sherry , preserves , salad dressing and spices for the braai ( barbeque) ect ect !!!! Sue really went out of her way to cater to our ever quim! Meals at night were provided ( extra cost ) lovely home made salads , yummie steak's and borie ( SA sausage ) . We had a braai ( barbeque ) every night . While the weather was not our friend during the stay the braai area was covered . All wood, fire lighters and charcoal were proved free ( again another nice touch ) . Don't have one negative word to say !!!!! The only thing I regret is..... we did not book our 4 day stay from the start here and I only bought 1 bottle of Sue's homemade salad dressing . That alone would make me wanna come back !!! Guys well done 5* ...will be sure to send some business down your way ....many thanks again Patrick (SA) Lee and Steve ( UK )

Room Tip: ALL rooms just as good !

If ever there's a place that you wish to spend some quality time with someone Leopard Rock has it all. The fact that the hosts are so warm and inviting, the privacy, the wonderful scenery and the location itself is simply amazing. Walk into the chalet and you feel like you've stepped into heaven. The room is perfectly decorated and the beds and recliners are perfectly positioned to give you a full view of the mountain and the morning fog makes the experience one to treasure. In close proximity are numerous outdoor activities to entice just about anyone. Make sure to carry a camera along as you can't afford to miss a picture on the legendary lookout rock.

Spent a weekend at the chalets and did not want to leave. This place is beyond amazing. the views are incredible and the room is cozy and decorated beautifully. The ouside shower is definietly a bonus. The oweners of the chalet were are wonderful and truly know the meaning of great hospitality. The biscuits that are put in the chalet are delicious. I could not get enough of it. This Place is a must if you are looking to relax, take in the beauty of nature and just need to de-stress. The only downfall would be that the geyser was quite small so long showers were not possible.

Due to finger trouble I removed my original post
I have stolen the official description because it is so very true. This was our second stay and if anything it surpassed our stay last year. The honeymoon chalet is brilliant, spotlessly clean and everything you could wish for and would need. Complimentary bubbly wine, jacuzzi, outside shower, view to die for, The hosts are warm and welcoming and go out of their way to make sure their guests are happy. It is a self catering unit but food can be oredered and sent to the chalet for heating later. EVERYTHING is provided. Four different kinds of coffee, two teas, condiments and and and. My one regret is that we only discovered it in the last few years when we started driving down for lunch. We spent our 43rd wedding anniversary there, now our 44th and looking forward to our 45th (If not a visit sooner)

Room Tip: The Honeymoon Suite for sure. The others are great, but both visits we have been in the Honeymoon Ch...

We could not believe our luck. What a perfect romantic getaway to destress, unwind and spoil yourself. Spectacular views, tranquil setting, outdoor shower, jacuzzi... magnificent sunset and lots to explore around the corner. We will be back.
