This place must be seen, even if you do not stay there. The common rooms are all filled with marquettry and amazing chandeliers exuding the charm of the type of club they would never have let your ancestors in...
The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms have been redone, there is no wifi.
Probably best for people with cars. quite close to "downtown" not there is much to do there, as far as we discovered.
The staff tried hard in their kind simple way. For our one breakfast poor Winnie had to make toast twice as she burnt the first attempt, as if she had never used the toaster before.
I ended up cancelling our second night and they promised to refund half my money: We'll see: I cancelled mostly because of the atmosphere of the city.More
