Balmoral Guest House
Ranked #69 of 256 Durban B&B and Inns
Reviewed 30 January 2012

Having stayed in many guest houses in the Durban North area, I certainly had lots of properties I could compare Balmoral to during my first stay. I am happy to say that it trumped my biggest expection in every sense. Love the central location in the Durban North area The warm welcome you are given by the friendly hostess is just an indication of what lies ahead!. The rooms are some of the most beautifully and practically appointed I have stayed in for a very long time. The size and the fact that each room has its own private patio (outside area) makes it all the more private, A well stocked honesty bar and nice breakfast spread makes for an enjoyable stay! Although they do not do dinner, Swapo Road has more variety than you need dinner wise!
If you are a business person, or a couple looking for some privacy during your holiday, this is the place to stay!

Room Tip: One of the rooms in the garden with it's own patio outside

A wonderfully appointed B&B with access to downtown, beaches and restaurants. Lovely breakfast and the kids loved the fact that there are numerous power outlets for all their tech gadets and ability to charge whilst travelling from abroad. Excellent service from Janet and her team. Thanks for another wonderful stay! Will be back and would recommend to anyone........

Private, quite and in a great position for business. Walk to Broadway Restraunts if you need to, I found this lodge to be clean and professional and the decor is simple and tasteful. Better than staying in a large hotel or in a domestic b and b, more pivacy and more peaceful. This place is new and fresh and recomended by me.

Room Tip: The back rooms are quieter, the top rooms have a view

What a brilliant spot in the heart of Durban North - close to the main restaurant strip - but off a quiet street so you are assured of a peaceful nights sleep. The room was massive and spotless - the place looks brand new. It is worthy of 5 stars. Brilliant breakfast patio. Highly recommended.
