Fantastic place, loved it, wished we had stayed longer but well worth the time we were there. Great guide called Matthew very knowledgeable and made our tour very interesting. Recommend Rain Farm. Will definitely stay there again if we ever get the chance to go to South Africa again.

We attended Rain Farm Game and Lodge's 5th Birthday Bash in June 2014. Booking the accommodation and the wonderful Buffet dinner with live entertainment was a breeze and was all done via email. All my questions were answered efficiently and timeously.

The live entertainment was extraordinary and created the perfect atmosphere for the dining hall which was lit up with fairy lights. Not only was the venue beautifully set up, but there were heat lamps and a gorgeous fire pit in the centre, keeping all the guests warm in the chilly winter evening.

Staying in the Luxury Tent for the evening, it is not quite as it sounds. Luxury tent is a bit of an understatement, situated near a river, it is a fabulous rustic cabin with a canvas side and roofing, fully equipped with every single one of your needs, including a hairdryer!

In the morning, we were treated to a delightful Buffet breakfast, overlooking a beautiful view of the Game Lodge.

As a romantic getaway for my partner and I, I cannot recommend this venue enough. My Partner and I loved every minute of it, from the beautiful accommodation and views, to the wildlife we saw, to the wonderful food and entertainment that was provided. We will definitely be going again!

This place is a very well kept secret.... But with two wedding locations and a wedding on friday and another on saturday - i guess i am the ignorant one.
Got there late night after very long flight - at gate was guard, ready with key and directions.
Lovely room and amenities - slept like a baby. Felt relaxed and well rested when left eventually.
Plenty game to see even if not going to game drive. All Personnel was friendly and well informed.
The food was well prepared and presented - tasty.
This place i will visit again!

Room Tip: Lovely views from the top at the dams. Excellent privacy at the river with all game visiting.

For a weekend getaway with the family, this place is suitable. Kids will love the wildlife(giraffes, horses, springbok, ducks, etc) and the kids play area. Friendly and very helpful staff. Roads leading to the place is decent, few pot holes but nothing too serious. It's best to arrive and leave during the day.

What a wonderful and relaxing stop in our South African experience. The food was superb, the staff so accommodating! Our game drives were fun and we saw some interesting animals and our driver Matthew was so knowledgeable about the animals they have on the farm. We truly enjoyed our stay!
