We had a Sunday lunch here and it was OK. Nothing great just an average meal to fill a gap. Service was good and our waiter was very pleasant. We had a good sea view from our table.

We had lunch at Piatto near uShaka World before visiting the Aquarium.

It is a great spot to sit in the sun overlooking the ocean.

The food was OK - perfect for lunch if you aren't too fussy, and considering it was a busy Sunday afternoon the service wasn't too bad.

It is a chain - so don't expect anything too unique or exceptionally high quality. Though my Sirloin Pepperdew which is like a steak stuffed with cheese and peppers was quite nice... just standard chain kind of trimmings - chips and salad and the prices seemed a little "touristy" compared to some other places we ate.

Overall, nothing fancy but did the job of satisfying us for lunch perfectly on a lovely sunny day overlooking the ocean!

We chose to eat at this Piatto over Moya nextdoors at the Ushaka Marine World, and regretted it. For starters my husband ordered a salad, only to be told that they had run out of cheese! You dont expect this from an Italian restaurant. Ayway, moving on, I ordered a Mojito and they said they had run out of Rum!! We should have realised our folly by then, but we decided to stick on. The ciabatta my friend ordered was nothng like what we expected....it lacked flavour and basic herbs. We didnt order anything else thankfully.

What made things worse is that while we were still sitting, at around 8pm, they started folding up the chairs and moving around stuff all around us. And we werent the only ones eating. I think thats rather rude of any restaurant. Especially when you are no where close to their closing time. They even started sweepi the floor right next to our table. Thats when we decided to leave. It was the most unpleasnat experience ever.
