The drive to the Valley of a 1000 Hills is wonderful with lots of beautiful views just on the drive from car window. Presents an entirely different view of Durban and is a very relaxing and interesting place. The hills seem to go on forever! We had a great day out driving there, stopping for lunch at the Pot and Kettle and spending time taking in the views. Highly recommended!

This was an absolutely awesome experience. I loved how the african culture was shown in detail, the animals and a snake park where you can carry a snake. there was also a traditonal zulu play and dance which was great!!!!! i also liked the curio shop. A must see!

This is an area of spectacular views and sad poverty. One must be aware at all times for pick pockets but if on a guided tour it is less deterring. It is more of a way to see the natural beauty of the east coast with a hint of tradition thrown in for good measure.

I've traveled through there several times, the most recent being on the 2 nd of May 2014 and the views are still spectacular.
As you travel up the start of the berg route you encounter many villages laid out amongst the hills and a number of farm stalls where all kinds of interesting goodies can be obtained.
There are a number of restaurants there.
There's also the noonu Farm with its interesting array of bugs.
Chante clair hotel has a training school for aspiring chefs and that in itself is a unique experience.
Altogether a very worthwhile

trip
