We had a wonderful time with Zamani, our guide to Shakaland. In our way to the main object of the trip we stopped at a beatiful forest and we were able to visit it from a nice wooden bridge that served as a path inside the forest. Zamani explained us the story of the forest and told us the name of the trees and plants. Then we left for Shakaland, a wonderful traditional zulu village where we met the locals, we saw them dancing in the chief's hut and we tasted the famous zulu beer. In our way back we stopped in a small city close to Durban where we visited the stone and the grave where King Shaka was assassinated. Inside the museum we watched a short movie about Shaka's life and we learned more about the zulu's history.
All day long Zamani was besides us and told us the interesting zulu history from the time Shaka was born until he was killed and Dingane took the rule of the kingdom.
The trip was a very nice experince with our guide Zamani that has zulu roots.
