We didn't stay here, but just visited the traditional Zulu village. It was very interesting and informative, but a little hokey too. The traditional wedding dance performance was extremely energetic and fascinating to watch!

Accommodation was comfortable and clean and not too expensive. The braai area wasn't cleaned once during our 2 night stay. The restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Cultural village and reptile park were great.
From arrival to departure a wonderful experience. Slept in a modern environment but with cultural ambience. Bird Park, Crocs, Snakes, dancing, Sangoma fantastic. Food was some of the best I have tasted in S.A. Well worth a visit friendly staff and very clean. I found the grounds and all areas extremely tidy. Thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting Zululand.
My family and I traveled here in December to spend some quality time together.
I won't be rushing back to this establishment anytime soon.
The staff are very friendly but the upkeep of the grounds is very poor. The amount of litter that we saw was terribly. The bins were overflowing and weren't emptied in the 5 days that we were there.
although our rooms were cleaned everyday, they weren't cleaned thoroughly, we came to very dirty showers and unswept, dirty floors.
on the up side, the onsite restaurant serves good food and has the sweetest chefs.
although they insisted that the morning muffins were freshly baked it was very clear to see, fee and taste that they were store bought a day or two before.
they have an animal enclosure onsite where you can view crocodiles and snakes etc but there was something inside of me that worried about the care of these animals.
I feel that this establishment could be 100% better if they put a little bit of effort into maintaining the grounds.
Took my brother and family here about 5 years ago. Very impressive and far superior to Shakaland We met n the car park and was very impressed the way they included the children My nephew was made a chief another little girl beat the drum for us to be accepted to enter the kraal. Loved every minute of it.
This review is for the DumaZulu Cultural Village.
Although there is a sincere effort by the presentations to teach you about the Zulu culture, everything seemed a little fake and forced. We did come away with more knowledge of what the Zulu tribes and tradions were like, but not that much was really presented. Felt almost like a set up. Beer had been made the traditional way and was given to the visitors to taste...alll drinking out of the same vessel. Ate lunch at the buffet which was actually pretty good. Again, the participants tried very hard to give you a good experience, but just too "touristy."
