We stayed at Cabana Beach as part of a time share exchange with Marriott Vacation Club through Interval International. While it is not even close to being an MVCI level, it was just fine - clean, plenty of storage space, adequate kitchen, decent bed, etc. The resort is being refurbished in 2013 so am sure it will be even nicer then. Be sure to lock your windows as those vervet monkeys are cheeky little thieves! The washer / dryers are in the main lobby area so not private to the room but we didn't have to wait to use them - there were plenty. The resort is right next to the other outdoor restaurants in the area and we noticed only 3. Maritimo's was the best for dinner and the other 2 were fine for lunch. Nice promenade and lighthouse and pier. Amazing rocks and beautiful sea. Hotel pool very nice - we only visited the adult pool once as too busy touring the area - Drakensburg Mountains and the Battlefields (both well worth the long day trips) - but it was very nice and overlooking the beach. The weather was good - hot enough for us to want to sunbathe by the pool but not so hot you need to swim. We found all the stafff really helpful and friendly. Free parking. Easy and safe to walk into town - we had dinner a couple of times at Barbacoa about 5 min walk away - an Argentinian style grill. Would stay again and think it's perfect for romantic couples or famlies - they had something for everyone and it's a large resort so plenty of space for all.
