I managed in my excitement to befuddle the dates booked at The Oyster Box - planned for July 4 2014 and unfortunately never READ the confirmation which showed June 4 - so we flew into Durban from Johannesburg all excited for our "Durban July" weekend. When we 'booked in' at reception we were told that our date was in fact June 4 - "Oi" my insides literally dropped to rock bottom. However, in true OBH style we were seated with a glass of 'sparkling wine' and everyone at the reception continued with a calm smile and so efficiently that we were made to feel perfectly at home and not like some crazed Johannesburg Yobs. We were accommodated in a Cabana Suite :) :) .... so "how to feel like a zillionaire in 30 seconds" was securely put in place.
Thank you to the young, efficient and lovely general manager Tyler Liebenberg who graciously chatted with us throughout the 'rearranging' and made us feel as though we were no trouble at all.
Honestly everyone in the world deserves to be made to feel as special as you made us feel at the OBH. I have proposed to my darling-life-partner that I forego any Birthday, Valentine, Christmas, Whatever presents in esxchange for a weekend at the OBH every year.
And so to our new family at OBH - I look forward to a delicious - wonderful - indulgent weekend in 2015.More
