Also known as Annie's Place, The Beach House is conveniently located a stone's throw from the seemingly endless sandy beach and an easy walk from a small local shopping & restaurant centre.
The large front dorms are light and airy thanks to the massive floor to ceiling front windows/door. If its not morning sunshine you're after, the remainder of the dorm has a rather less alfresco feel. The building really takes advantage of its sea facing location with large wooden terraces where you can sit and enjoy the view, listening to the waves thunder in, sip a sundowner whilst watching a stunning sunset, and enjoying the social chatter around a braai.
Feeling rather dorm-ed out, I treated myself to the en suite double with equally terrific views. The hostel is clean, well thought out and invites you to make the most of its stunning setting. Annie is an interesting lady who seem to understand that even backpackers are grateful to find somewhere above expectation.
Take a walk along the railway line, through the first tunnel and you will find The Secret Cave.
