Johan took us in late evening and the accomodation was wonderful and good hearty breakfast the next morning. Safe overnight parking also. Certainly I would recommend staying here and were sorry to not stop over for longer.

We needed to look for accommodation in Wilderness at short notice and were guided to the Cloverleigh. Johan the proprietor was a genial host. The rondhavel was a delight, big bed, plenty of towels, clean and bright. Breakfast on the raised deck overlooking the river was good, We would recommend a stay here to friends. Well done Johan and Mrs. Johan.

The perfect accomodation to explore the garden route and relax in a perfect setting. Situated on the Wilderness lagoon the Cloverleigh offers private, spacious, and clean accomodation. The hosts Johan and Annatjie go out of their way to ensure their guests enjoy the hospitality they expect when traveling in this scenic area. Their knowledge of the activities, tourist attractions and restaurants contributes to a perfect visit to the Garden route. Breakfast is served on the upper deck which offers great views of the Lagoon and surrounding areas.

We've just returned from our third stay at this splendid guest house. We stay a little longer each visit. On this visit we were delighted to have a family of bushbuck visit our cottage to smell (well actually eat) the roses. Nothing is too much trouble for Johan and Annetjie. We had the Honeymoon Cottage with both whirlpool bath and shower. Although the breakfasts are superb, we were self catering on this visit and found the facilities adequate for our needs.

We were on the hunt for a getaway in the Garden Route and managed to find an opening at Cloverleigh...the only spot available was the Forest cottage (a self catering room). After looking at pictures and seeing that it was 4 star we were looking forward to our stay. Upon arrival we were greatly disappointed. The room was tiny with the kitchen was right next to our bed (plus we had to move dustbin outside as not to have to breathe in garbage smell whilst sleeping)...the kitchen was poorly equipped and a lot of the appliances were old and dirty...we did not want to use the toaster at all so grilled all our bread. We had a really old convection oven with 2 hot plates that I had to stand on a chair to cook there. There was only a tiny cupboard to store our clothing in, needless to say my boyfriend could not unpack...what a gentleman.
That said the bathroom and shower was fantastic and the outside bbq area was great...which is where we made sure to spend most our time when at Cloverleigh.
I am very surprised this accommodation has 4 stars as have stayed in way better facilities that have poorer rating and to be honest really questioning the tourism grading council criteria in this instance.
We stayed in amazing accommodation in Knysna the week priop for way cheaper (which should be a more expensive area normally)
So avoid the forest cottage!!
