Description: Zucchini is blushing from all the attention... Voted in the "Top 20 Culinary Destinations" in the Garden Route for three years running as voted by the Chaines des Rotisseurs. Also voted best "Family Restaurant" in the Garden route for the last two years. If walls of this honest country restaurant could talk the conversation would include words of fresh, vibrant, from scratch, home grown organic and compliments to the chef. To us simplicity is the key. You can expect dishes filled with flavour, a taste experience for the natural foodie. Zucchini Restaurant is in the Timberlake Organic Village in Wilderness. We offer a selection of Vegetarian meals but also offer game dishes like the "Springbok Shank" or our "Trio of Carpaccio". A mix of local-made micro brews from the tap! 32 Different types of local beers to taste, not to be missed. Play park for the kids, and a host of activities to keep them busy while you relax on our couches and sip a glass of wine.

We had dinner in the Zucchini a few days ago and liked it very much. The Spingbok was splendid, the service outstanding. And our little one liked the food, the cat and riding the saddle chair at the bar.

We popped in here to use their free wi-fi and came back again for dinner. The food was original and cooked with flair, the local Darling artisanal beer, great and the staff chatty and pleasant. What impressed us most was that the place is in the middle of nowwhere, yet the food has a really good urban style to it. I had a goats cheese stuffed burger, using lots of local ingredients and it was the business. My partner had some calamari, which was tender and tasty. I also had the three local cured meats to start with, which were home cured and hit the spot.

We left feeling very satisfied, and think the restaurants quirky vibe really works as the design style is very original. And the wi-fi worked a treat and really was free!

We returned to Zucchini on our visit up the garden Route and we were not disappointed. The new vegetarian delights were absolutely mouth watering and an absolute taste sensation. The personalized service was once again charming and the additional decor authentic and lovely. I would definitely recommend you take the time to drive the few kilometers extra if you pass Wilderness, or Sedgefield depending on your direction, to treat yourself to a meal, just to be different and to not be bound by the same old restaurants in town everyday. You'll be pleasantly surprised! Can't wait for our next visit!

Very laid back family restaurant with indoor and outdoor tables in a kind of retail village for the country and organic lovers. Very safe to let the kids go and explore on their own.
Not an extensive menu but what they do is done extremely well and quite different to how other restaurants would present their food. They use organic meat and vegetables but don't charge a premium for the extra quality you receive. Wines are reasonably priced and chosen by the patron.
The food is slow food, cooked from scratch so if you are in a hurry this is not the place for you. Otherwise go for it, chill out and enjoy something different. Very reasonable pricing.

We spend two extra days in Wilderness on our three weeks long trip along the Garden Route because of this amazing restaurant. We tried almost every single dish on the menu and weren t disappointed even once. And we are picky when it comes to food. A place where we felt welcome and got inspired by the people who work there. Thank you for making our stay an unforgettable one! Our favorites: The traditional springbock burger and the Brownie!!!!
