We had a most amazing time at Reflections. The birds, tortoises and other wildlife are incredible. You wake up with the fish eagles singing in the trees. We stayed three nights and that was definitely too short. It was rainy, then windy, then sunny and in all of these weathers Reflections is the perfect place to be. I can only imagine how romantic it can be in the winter in front of the fireplace. The kitchen has all the necessities. We thorougly enjoyed the braai. This is the perfect relaxing getaway and I would recommend it to everyone. Tim gave us lots of tips on hiking trails in the area and told us interesting things about the wildlife. We will definitely go back!! Just a tip: Remember this is nature, there are ants and other insects. Take mozzie repellant just in case. It seemed to keep the ants from climbing on me when walking in the field. Also do take the time to walk to the deck overlooking the lake. Have a sundowner. THANKS to Reflections Eco-Reserve for a most wonderful time.

Room Tip: Nr1 is definitely the best, closest to the lake as well as most private. Perfectly suited for a coup...

Wonderful stay, generous accommodation and wonderful hosts. Space and nature surrounds you and it is hard to believe it was a pine plantation and that you are off the grid. A lot of vision and love has gone into making this a lovely escape into nature. Tim is a fantastic guide and brings even tiny things to life with his vast knowledge of South Africa and all who inhabit it and Angelique has the ability of making one feel immediately at home. Well done and we will be back.

Highly recommended accommodation. The cottages are built between the trees and tastefully decorated and clean. The surrounding nature and lake is breathtakingly beautiful. We went for a walk and enjoyed the bird life. I am coming back and will visit this prime location. Thank you Angie and Tim for the friendly warm welcome.

Room Tip: All cottages are beautiful.

I have literally travelled all over the world and stayed in many beautiful places but this one stands out. The houses are beautiful wooden houses which are maintained so that they look as if they were built last week. The place is immaculately clean - not a speck of dust anywhere. The houses are spacious both inside and outside. Each house has a lovely deck with a couch and chairs as well as a large table for having your meals outside when desired. The houses are far apart to provide absolute privacy and quiet. While there we saw all sorts of birds that you don't often see in the city. In addition to all of this, the place is totally eco-friendly without causing any inconvenience. Gas oven and everything else is solar powered. I can not recommend this place enough - I can't wait to go back.

Reflections Eco Reserve does not get any electricity or water from the municipality, it is all generated on the property with solar panels, wind turbines and water reservoirs. The result is an amazing experience in nature that is unforgettable. We watched fish eagles in a nearby tree every morning and saw a big variety of other birds. It is quiet and peaceful and also very private.

The road to the property is not tarred, but don't let it dissuade you from staying here. It is well worth the drive. The reserve is close to Sedgefield where you can enjoy the Saturday morning market. The cottage is well equipped and can comfortably sleep 6 people. It is a wonderful place to stay.

A beautiful way to experience and explore South Africa's Garden Route. With the call of the Fish Eagle waking you in the morning, this is the ideal place to linger and use as base for the other attractions in this area. Clean and convenient, these timber cabins add another experience along the lakes and rivers in this area. Thanks Tim, this was good!
