“What an amazing find.”

We came across this gem by accident after we go such a bad welcoming at one of the more popular resturants. The Royal Siam Thai is situated in the milkwood village in knysna. It is a def must. I was sceptical about thai food, but the quality of the food here is amazing. Please do yourself a favour and make the effort to pop around here for dinner or lunch.

“Nice restaurant in a surprising place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2013

We stayed in Wilderness, thinking it was just a small village, but found it had a wide range of restaurants. We were surprised that this included a Thai restaurant, so it was a nice change from the South African food we had eaten in most places.

The restaurant is fairly small, but has a nice ambience and a fairly side menu. Service was good and friendly and the food quality was excellent.

well worth a try!

“Authentic Thai food in Wilderness Village”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 March 2013

The flavours were incredible. Bamboo, ginger, garlic to name a few. Fresh ingredients definitely used. Great atmosphere and the waiters are fast and efficient. Be prepared to wait a good 30 minutes for food if the kitchen is busy. All cooking done by native Thai's. Really special place. I can highly recommend the green Thai curry with Duck and Litchi's.

“Consistently Good”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 March 2013

A comprehensive menu of authentic Thai and some Chinese dishes prepared by Thai chefs. Pleasant atmosphere with both inside and outside tables. Good value venue and a welcome addition to the Garden Route. Very busy on Friday nights because it is located in the middle of Wilderness night market so advisable to book and be prepared to wait a bit on Fridays.
I was the first customer in Nov 2011 and eat there once a week and have tried many dishes since then and have never been disappointed.
