I was taking part in a race in Knysna had chosen my venue almost at random, my primary criteria being that it was away from the general hubbub of the event and not a dormitory. While it may sound like a back-handed compliment to say that Moontide exceeded my expectations on every level, I mean it in all sincerity. Gracious and friendly hosts, beautiful and well-outiftted rooms, and the most divine setting. I'm only sorry that I didn't have more time to spend there and will be booking in advance for my return next year.

Room Tip: Rooms further from the entrance look out onto the deck where breakfast is served. Made it a little r...

We were so warmly welcomed by Tim at this very special spot in the Wilderness. What a beautiful and tranquil setting for our one night stop over. Wonderful accommodation, splendid breakfast and every need accounted for. Perfect start to our holiday.

What a wonderful place for a honeymoon. Treetops feels private and secluded from the world with a balcony looking over the guest house and across the beautiful lagoon.
If we needed anything or a dinner reservation Tim and Maureen ensured we were happy. My Husband and I will definitely be back. I think we have decided on our 1st year anniversary destination already :)

This has to be the finest Guest house in the Garden Route. Lovely comfortable and exquisitely decorated thatch suites in amongst the milkwoods and a staff and really does go the extra mile. The setting on the edge of the Knysna lagoon makes for excellent bird watching and creates an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. The furnishings and decorations within the suites are tasteful and sumptious. Breakfast is served on the deck above the lagoon or in the elegant dinning area. This is a place we will be going back to again and again.

Room Tip: You can choose between a variety of suites that are all individually furnished. I would suggest tha...

Treetops was stunning. Staff were in general very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay luxurious and special. In particular, Tim and Maureen were very friendly and gave plenty of information of what to do and see, and where to eat, in the area. And the cat was cute. We would highly recommend Moontide for honeymooners or anyone who is keen to have a relaxing break. We returned relaxed and refreshed, thank you Moontide!

We stayed only one night in May -- really wish we could have stayed longer. Tim and Maureen were just lovely. It so happened that they were re-thatching the roofs of most of the rooms, so Maureen hosted our breakfast in her own home instead of in the "living room." Such great services. There were several very nice little surprises (I won't go into detail so as not to spoil them for you!). If we ever find ourselves in Wilderness again, we will definitely stay here. Highly, highly, recommended.
