“Outstanding Location and Hospitality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 October 2013

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at Moontide for a few days. Wow - what an outstanding location, it was wonderful. The Hospitality was outstanding, the Views were spectacular and the Breakfast was excellent. I loved the Tranquillity and home feeling whilst being spoilt with outstanding service. The birds eating out of my hand was unique. Thank you Tim for a wonderful memory that will stay with us forever.

Room Tip: We had the room on the Lake, it was outstanding

We stayed in the stone cottage for the first two nights of our honeymoon. Was very pleased with everything and the room was perfect. We loved the breakfasts on the deck! Tim is also very friendly and helpful. We would really go back to this lovely guest lodge.

Just had a marvellous two night treat at this very comfortable guest house. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and at home. ALL of the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. The room and bathroom were both spacious and artfully decorated and deliciously comfortable. The breakfast setting can hardly be beaten. The only small issue was with the water pressure in the shower which wasn't great, but not enough to complain and just proved that, and especially for the price, we got as close to perfection as possible. Thank you for a LOVELY weekend!

The lodge is beautifully situated at the borders of the lagoon. Different houses are available for the guests and we were having a two bedroom house nicely decorated with African craft. The bath room was luxerious and having breakfast on the terrace with the sun coming up over the hills is a real pleasure. The houses are not provided with airco or heating so one has to be a bit lucky with the temperatures. If the weather is good the location is superb.
On walking distance one can find a good seafood restaurant and in the village itself one can find an italian restaurant well worth visiting.

What an awesome setting on the lagoon edge with the birds chirping away everywhere, building nests as we ate a scrumptious Mozambique an omelette. Great hand picked décor in the uniquely decorated suites.. Judge looked after our every need, always with a ready smile.

We stayed at Moontide Guest Lodge during the long weekend of September and had a fabulous time, felt like a second honeymoon. The location of the Guest Lodge is absolutely perfect and the facilities allow for complete relaxation. We stayed in the Moonriver suite for three nights, it's decorated beautifully and it’s very spacious. The view from the suite overlooking the lagoon is spectacular. Breakfast was incredible, not only do you have delicious options but you also have the best view as breakfast is served on the porch next to the lagoon. Everyone at Moontide was so friendly felt like we were visiting family with all the added luxuries. We highly recommend Moontide Guest Lodge and will definitely return when visiting Wilderness.

Room Tip: I would recommend the moonriver suite for a couple, I think it allows for a little more privacy.

We were very surprised when we arrived at Moontide on Monday 16/09/13 as you never expect a Guest House to look better then its pictures on their website but we were Blown Away. Moontide is absolutely breathtaking, every detail has been thought of in their Guest Accomodation and you really feellike you are royalty during your time there. The Manager, Tom went out of he's way to make sure we new about all the exciting things to do in the area as well as to book our supper reservations at the top Restaurants in their area. We absolutely Loved our Honeymoon at Moontide and would love to go again in the future. Mr & Mrs Pautz (wilson)
