We were touring the garden rout as two couples. Had a lovely stay. Gerald & JD were exceptional hosts. They couldn't of been more accommodating. Rooms were lovely & spacious, location was beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. Wish we had stayed for longer & will be back on our next stay in SA.

This is not our first visit to Wilderness Manor and hopefully not our last. Gerald and JD are exceptional hosts. Their attention to detail is legendary. The rooms have all the little luxuries that make a stay with them so special. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The linen is top quality. The rooms have lovely leather sofas, with dark canopied beds and best of all reading lights above each bed.
They have a turn down service which very few establishments have. On your return from dinner you will find your room clean, towels fluffy and dry, curtains drawn and lights dimmed.
They serve up a faultless breakfast and JD makes his own bircher muesli which is sublime.
We will return again and again.

The property is nicely located for walking into Wilderness. It has wonderful, large and comfortable rooms and great views over the lagoon. The breakfasts have a choice to suit anyone. Best of all is the care and attention Gerald and JD are prepared to invest to ensure that their guests make the most of their time in the area. It was a delightful experience.

We stayed 4 nights in September and had a fantastic time here. Gerald and JD are wonderful hosts, and have a lovely welcoming home - relaxing, interesting, a real pleasure to be in. Its in a really lovely spot overlooking the lagoon with well appointed rooms with lots of thoughtful touches to make your stay easy and you feel well looked after. Breakfast is an absolute delight with many choices available and they have the most divine Bircher muesli and strawberry jam! in fact all the breakfast choices were superb. They are really helpful with suggestions for trips out and ideas to make the most of your stay and take a sincere interest in guests' enjoyment of the area. This was our first visit to the Wilderness area and thanks to Gerald and JD, and their hospitality, professionalism and warmth, and their recommendations for local excursions and restaurants, we will most certainly recommend and return. Can't wait to come back!!!

This is a really wonderful guesthouse in a beautiful location along the famed 'garden route'. Our room looked out across the lagoon and the sunset, enjoyed from our balcony, was amazing. Gerald and JD are lovely people and really care about the comfort of their guests. Great facilities and service. We we're only able to stay for one night, but hope to return!

We stayed one night at the Wilderness Manor but it will stay in our memory forever. We have never experienced such wonderful, caring, attentive service from the lovely hosts Gerald and J.D. The attention to detail is so thoughtful, in every way, to make the guests stay at Wilderness Manor as comfortable as possible. The hotel was tastefully decorated with beautiful, luxurious rooms and every comfort available to make the guests as welcome and happy as possible. The breakfast was fantastic, with home-made strawberry jam made by Gerald and hot croissants baked by J.D. Thank you so much Gerald and J.D. for making us feel like good friends, for being excellent hosts and for all the valuable advice you gave us to make our continued travels even more special. When we return to South Africa, we will definitely come back and stay, in particular to see you both, such special people :) By the way, Nick will be touch to find out how you make your Swiss oats and to let you know how he gets on with the sweet water to give to the birds, thank you so much again xxx

We spent 12 days at Wilderness Manor while exploring the region. We could not have chosen better. Our room was comfortable and well appointed with a lovely view over the lagoon. The lounges were very tastefully decorated with comfortable couches and plenty of coffee table books and magazines. The location, close to many fine forest and beach walks was perfect. Extensive breakfasts made sure the day started well. But best of all were Gerald & JD. They are the perfect attentive hosts, from booking restaurants to advising on day trips, including supplying all the necessary maps, they made sure the rooms was warm at night (we were there in winter) and they even wait up till their last guest is home for the night.
